The Christmas season is a time for giving, and this program provides a way for people to reach out and give to children in need in our community.
 

Each year, thousands of children benefit from the Operation Blessing program with the donation of brand new holiday gifts that have been donated by church and community members. Kids and their families are able to experience Christmas thanks to the generosity of others.  The Champions Foundation is one of the partner organizations that supports this program run by the Tacoma Rescue Mission.

We also support many area organizations and groups, including local shelters during the holiday season. Our annual “Party with a Purpose” for women brings dozens of women together for a cause.  For several years, the party collected brand new pajamas for women living in shelter situations.  More recent efforts saw them filling donated Christmas stockings with bath and beauty products and slippers.  The Christmas stockings were distributed to Western State Hospital, area shelters and military wives who’s spouses were deployed overseas.
